Petition Calls For CNN To Cover Climate Change Instead Of Showing Fossil Fuel Ads

Credo Action is calling for CNN to inform viewers with comprehensive coverage of climate change, instead of running advertisements from fossil fuel companies.

A Media Matters study previously documented how CNN aired almost five times as much oil industry advertising as climate change-related coverage following the announcements that 2015 was the hottest year on record and February 2016 was the most abnormally hot month on record. That disparity does not even account for dozens of Koch Industries ads that also ran on CNN.
